About the Author
Up until the age of six, Natalie Goldberg resided in Brooklyn. After that, her family relocated to Farmingdale, New York, where her father operated the Aero Tavern. Goldberg has always loved reading novels. In the ninth school, she read The Ballad of the Sad Cafe by Carson McCullers, which she particularly enjoyed. She believes that one book was the catalyst that eventually inspired her to start writing when she was 24. She holds an MA in humanities from St. John’s University and a BA in English literature from George Washington University.
Goldberg has been painting for as long as she has been writing, and her works can be found in Top of My Lungs: Poems and Paintings and Living Color: A Writer Paints Her World. Additionally, you may see them in Sante Fe at the Ernesto Mayans Gallery on Canyon Road.
