Schwarzman Scholars is an international postgraduate award program for students to study at Tsinghua University. Scholarships are awarded to 100–200 applicants per year, worldwide. This program selects applicants based on their leadership ability, exemplary character, academic aptitude, intellectual ability, empathy, intercultural competency, open-mindedness, entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated potential to become the next generation of global leaders who will build solid relationships between China and the rest of the world. Selected students study a fully-funded one-year master’s degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University.

  • Applicants currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. 
  • Applicants are not restricted to any field of study; all fields are welcome.
  • Must be up to 18 and not up to 29 as of enrollment date
  • Strong English skills must be demonstrated by all applicants, as all teaching will be conducted in English.Proficiency test scores must be submitted with the application. Acceptable test options are:Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT). Minimum score 600. Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). Minimum score 100. International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Minimum score

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is geared to achieving a prosperous, all-inclusive, and sustainable environment while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. It assists its members and partners by providing loans, technical assistance,  scholarships programs, grants, and equity investments to promote socio-economic development. 

The ADB Scholarship Program (ADB) enrols more than  300 students annually in academic institutions located in 9 countries within the Region. After completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of their home countries.

  • Have gained admission to an approved masters at an approved academic institution
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a superior academic record.
  • Must have  two years or more of full-time professional work experience (acquired after a university degree) at the time of application.
  • Be proficient in oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies.
  • Up to 18 and under 35 years old at the time of application.

  • Agree to return to your home country after completing the programme.
