    Do you know that cooking methods can alter the caloric value of food?
    Boiled foods have lower caloric value and the highest water weight.
    When the same quantity of food is fried, the caloric value increases. This is because you are adding more calories to the food through the addition of oil. Fats and oils are calorie-dense and need to be consumed in limited quantities.
    Although roasting reduces the water weight of food through water loss, the increase in calorie is still less than that of # frying .
    When water is lost during roasting, this increases the density and therefore the caloric value of the cooked food.
    It is important that you consider how the method of cooking you use alter the caloric content of your foods.
    This will guide you in making better choices to achieve your nutrition goals.
