In an enjoyable and impactful manner, Vizi Andrei aims to challenge our long-held beliefs about art, education, courage, progress, happiness, intelligence, and creativity.

Readers who come to this book expecting practical guidance will not be disappointed, but they will be delighted to see that such guidance is being delivered rather artistically―via short stories that read like modern poetry, beautifully accompanied by vivid illustrations.

The wisdom this book permeates with comes from figures such as Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Confucius, Epicurus, Antisthenes, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Michel de Montaigne, Emil Cioran, Leo Tolstoy, Mircea Eliade, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Gilbert Keith Chesterton, Friedrich Nietzsche, Blaise Pascal, Arthur Schopenhauer, Luc de Clapiers but also Carlo M. Cipolla, Umberto Eco, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Alain de Botton, Rory Sutherland, or Naval Ravikant.

“An urgent book … Vizi’s work is bursting with many irreverent lessons ready to help you remove the chains of modernity. This book will sharpen your thinking and help you gain clarity on a variety of crucial topics.”

―Ruben Chavez, founder of ThinkGrowProsper

“A well-reasoned collection of meditations … They will contagiously make you think!”

―Luca Dellanna, author of Operational Excellence

“Written in a quaint voice, this book charms the reader―mixing just the right amount of reflective self-awareness with cutting insight. For those who consider musings of great import, a pleasant stroll through Economy of Truth would be time well-spent.”

―Jack Peach, teacher and traveler

Review of Economy of Truth by Vizi Andrei PDF

I found Vizi’s book through his Instagram account, where he was sharing rhetoric, thought provoking excerpts and philosophy.

Vizi’s book feels and reads like an introduction to critical thinking, philosophy, challenging maxims and challenging mainstream thinking. I myself have taken a deep dive into in philosophy, which I see pops up in Vizi’s writing. Philosophy (in broad strokes) is how about how to act in life, not just how to think.
In this day and age where the most accessible information is internalized, books like Economy of Truth tip the balance back in our favor.

It’s often hard for younger people to access information on the basics of introspection and the fundamental streams of reasoning. As is clear in society today that being taught on how to think doesn’t necessarily top as the major priority in (most, if not all) educational systems.

I find great hope in Vizi’s writings, to see someone of my generation write such work and perpetuate a pure intent to develop introspection and critical thinking. Many in generation (and the previous ones) have (from personal experience) not been “authorized” introspection. When I think about what lies at the basis of being a good human being, introspection and awareness seem to rise to the surface. The ability and drive to look at your own values, your own thinking and your own behavior is paramount to be a good human being, if not that: at least a decent societal member. People are often afraid to be confronted with the things inside themselves and thus shy away from introspection. By the structure of Vizi’s book along side with powerful maxims, you are invited to look inside yourself. The book is highly enjoyable, has lots to offer and digest.

To me personally it marks a return to the widespread use of philosophy as a tool to help us navigate life. To have been (in simple terms) authorized to think differently and allowed to make your notions.
I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to add a little bit more direction and mental support (medicine even) in their life.
