Gray ’ s Anatomy for Students is a clinically oriented, student friendly textbook of human anatomy. It has been prepared primarily for students in a variety of professional programs (e.g., medical, dental, chiropractic, and physical therapy programs).
It can be used by students in traditional, systemic, combined traditional/systemic, and problem-based curricula and will be particularly useful to students when lectures and laboratories in gross anatomy are minimal.

Earlier editions were called Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical and Gray’s Anatomy: Descriptive and Applied, but the book’s name is commonly shortened to, and later editions are titled, Gray’s Anatomy.
