About the Author
Irving Kett is Professor of Civil Engineering at California State University, Los Angeles, where he developed the Asphalt Materials and Pavement Design Laboratory .He has also served with the United States Army Corps of Engineers since World War II, and retired in 1982. Dr. Kett is the recipient of the Ford Foundation Fellowship, the Eisenhower Faculty Transportation Fellowship, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also author of numerous publications in the Civil Engineering field.
